Why Longevity Logic today?

LONGEVITY LOGIC-Empowered Health Defense is a hybrid treatment of the dental field that seamlessly integrates a very readable descriptive narrative for the dental consumer and a well-referenced, textbook-like treatise for the 'need-to-know-more' pseudo-professional. Dr. Chacona strikes this balance effortlessly and this book should appeal to a widely diverse audience.

I was particularly intrigued by the exploration of topics, linking dental healthcare to cardiovascular disease (via the generalized 'inflammation theory'), and to obesity, diabetes, and the newly pervasive obsession with preventative medicine. I learned that dental health should be elevated to a higher status in this country and that a greater understanding of dental problems and therapies should be firmly embedded in an overall optimal healthcare strategy.

This practical and authoritative book is a refreshing addition to anyone's healthcare library. The combination of historical context, common sense advice, scientific explanations, and opinionated socioeconomic digressions provides the reader with a thought-provoking experience, which extends well beyond the narrow confines of tooth decay and fillings.

Longevity Logic - Empowered Health Defense is well written, easy to read and easy to understand. Even with its readability, it is packed with authoritative information from the history of dental decay to up-to-date reviews and in depth discussions on the most dental procedures.

Chapter XII 'Breaking the Pain Cycle' is one of my personal favorites and one of the most important, emphasizing that dental phobia often begins in childhood. Dr. Chacona has helped the average person take real control of their oral health, learn how to best take care of their teeth and to effectively communicate with their dentist.

Read the book carefully. Re-read it just prior to dentist visits. It is an essential book for any person willing to participate in improving his or her own dental and general health.
